Gannett Foundation Backs News Lab

The Gannett Foundation has awarded The Georgia News Lab a $5,000 Media Grant. The News Lab will use the funds to cover costs such as licenses for commercial databases and fees charged for Open Records requests, court records and other primary source material. The Gannett Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the media and marketing corporation Gannett Co., Inc., was also a backer of the forerunner to the News Lab, The News Enterprise, an investigative reporting initiative of the Journalism Program at Emory University. …
